James Knight-Smith became interested in photography while working as an Engineer. Photography was, in his words, “a way to escape my hectic and workaholic life style and return to what I love most – the water”. His initial work consisted of panoramic landscapes before progressing onto more abstract images.
James Knight-Smith has been the recipient of several international awards including 1st place in 2008 and 2009 and 2nd place in 2010 in the International Photo Awards. In 2009 he was a finalist for non professional photographer of the year and was also selected as part of the best of show exhibition.
