A Series of MomentsI have always found the beauty of the ocean both inspiring and difficult to capture in one decisive moment. Living, breathing, constantly moving, the sea is dynamic and never the same. To capture this eternal ebb and flow, I use movement and long exposure to record a number of moments that evoke and portray the scene as one single image. This creates an almost diaphanous layered effect. The photographs that comprise A Series of Moments are an expression and visual communication of my emotional connection to the ocean: the peace it brings, the moments of intense clarity, the completeness I experience when gazing for hours on end at the subtly shifting colours and movements. 2008 – 2011 Scroll to the right for the images >> | ![]() Breath, 2008 | ![]() Balance, 2009 | ![]() Turmoil, 2009 | ![]() Exhale, 2009 | ![]() My Place, 2009 | ![]() The Return, 2009 | ![]() Mosman, 2008 | ![]() Across the Bay, 2009 | ![]() Tranquil, 2009 | ![]() Gaze (Diptych), 2008 | ![]() Dripstone II, 2009 | ![]() Glow, 2009 | ![]() During the Storm, 2009 | ![]() Black Rolls In, 2009 | ![]() Light on the Horizon, 2009 | ![]() Matilda (Diptych), 2009 | ![]() Embrace, 2010 | ![]() Untitled III, 2010 | ![]() Untitled II, 2010 | ![]() Untitled I, 2010 | ![]() Encroach, 2010 | ![]() Untitled V, 2011 | ![]() My Place II, 2011 |
